Warm greetings to you! I’m Kelsee Braun, and this blog, 4moms35kids.com, is about my life as a single mother. The blog contains a mixture of parenting, self-development and lifestyle posts, as well as a good bit of my own rambling commentary!
I work from my home as a copy editor and technical writer.
I established this personal blog in the fall of 2013. I had posted some personal musings on social media, and some friends suggested that I start blogging. Now I write about everything from single parenting and household tips, to crafts and mundane daily tasks, to politics and current events, to “aww, isn’t my son so adorable?” photos!
I also participate in Throwback Thursdays on social media. Every Thursday, I link to old posts with a #ThrowbackThursday tag. The point is to find other bloggers to support and read, and to help other readers discover your blog. So if you’re a blogger and you’d like to play along, please feel free do so—as the old saying goes, “The more, the merrier!” You don’t even have to link to years-old posts to participate. In my book, anything before yesterday should count as a throwback!
My Story
I’ve struggled with mental health issues for years. I’m writing a book about what I’ve experienced, in hopes of getting it published.
During a period of recovery, my boyfriend and I got pregnant. The boyfriend turned out to be abusive, so my pregnancy was a difficult one.
My son was born a preemie in 2013. Shortly afterwards, my boyfriend and I broke up. I was a single mom. My blog archive contains the saga of this era in my life.
I’m mostly recovered from my mental health issues. I’ve improved, and my life has taken a turn for the better. Along the way I’ve learned valuable lessons, some of which I hope you find helpful, too!
Product Reviews
I’m open to recommendations when it comes to product reviews. I will give due consideration to each offer. My son was born in the spring of 2013. I’m happy to receive any product for consideration, as long as it’s relevant to my son and me. I cannot guarantee that I will review every product that I receive. I am willing to discuss the possibility of coming to a guarantee agreement, if the discussion is held before the item is sent.
Any review I write will be an honest expression of my own opinion (or the opinion of my son, if applicable) of the product. Just because I received an item for free doesn’t imply in any way that I’ll give that item a positive review. Due to time and content constraints, if I do write a review, I will post it within two months of my receipt of the item.
